Lifeboost Inc. is a home healthcare technology company passionate about improving health outcomes through the lens of patient compliance beginning with personalized nutrition. The company providing a platform to deliver vitamins and supplements using fresh, clean active ingredients that are easily mixed through their proprietary Wi-Fi connected countertop dispenser. Users can enjoy a good tasting, liquid serving, rather than having to swallow multiple pills each day.
Lifeboost developed a Tespo Connect 2.0 a smart IoT-enabled liquid vitamin dispenser. The Tespo Connect 2.0 keeps the customers on track with their vitamin regimens with a smartphone App including reminders and rewards.
Mongoose OS is used on the embedded ESP32 module and enables Wi-Fi Connectivity for maintenance, support and a Smartphone App that monitors the usage and sends the customer reminders.
Lifeboost evaluated different possible approaches and Mongoose OS was selected for being a full-featured system and allowing to significantly shorten development time.
“MongooseOS was on the top of our list when we started evaluating embedded systems. We were on an extremely short timeline to release this device, and needed to find a full-featured system that could work with ESP32 on our PCBA. Once we found and started utilizing MongooseOS, we found our development time to be significantly shortened, along with our production programming and OTA programming capabilities significantly increased.” says Aaron Feys, Lead Engineer at Lifeboost Inc.
Mongoose OS eliminated a mundane infrastructure development and allowed Lifeboost to concentrate on the user experience. Aaron continues: “We were finally able to have a handle on some of our development timelines. It was very easy for us to make decisions about what to add and what to keep out of the product, as we knew it would only take mere days to develop something new. Sometimes only hours. Mongoose OS made it easy to get past the connectivity portion and the AWS integration, so we could focus on the user experience. As of right now, we have over 90% of our customers connected.”
“If we were not able to use Mongoose OS anymore, we would be left in the dust by our competitors. The amount of time it would take us to bring up the same system with our own development would inhibit us from releasing new products any time soon.” we heard from Lifeboost.
